If you didn’t use a condom there is a risk that you have picked up a sexually transmitted infection (STI)
and it’s a good idea to be screened. You can go to a Sexual Health Clinics which offers free and confidential checks on sexual health.
For more details on Sexual Health Clinics clinics click here.
Sexually Transmitted Infections can affect you and your baby so it is really important to be tested.
If you continue with your pregnancy, your midwife may suggest STI screening.
If you are not pregnant there is a STI that can have no symptoms but if left untreated can affect your ability to have a baby in the future.
So if you are worried at all it’s important to be checked.
